"Origin"
Traversing Soundscapes: A Journey from Danum to Mima

Sampurasun, greetings, fellow travellers of sound,

As I unveil "Origin," my latest sonic expedition, I'm transported back to the momentous release of my EP, "Astungkara", four years ago. This album marks a new chapter, an evolution of my passion for modular synthesis and the harmonious blend of electronic and traditional musical realms.

Tracklist:
1. Danum
2. Placenta Previa
3. Alleviate
4. Tangkiling
5. Colostrum
6. Lacuna
7. Emergence
8. Origin
9. Sape Langit
10. Mima

Every title etched into "Origin" encapsulates an intricate facet of my journey, resonating with stories, emotions, and life's vivid tapestry.

"Danum" encapsulates the purity and wonder of new life, a dedication to my daughter whose arrival has illuminated my world with boundless joy and love. A celebration of beginnings, this piece embraces the innocence accompanying the dawn of existence.

"Placenta Previa" embodies challenges overcome, symbolizing the resilience required as life unfolds in unexpected ways. It serves as a reminder that even amidst difficulties, beauty can emerge, much like the unique melodies that find their way through the labyrinth of sound.

In the ebb and flow of sound, "Alleviate" offers solace—a sonic balm to soothe the soul and mend the spirit. A reminder that even in the most intricate of arrangements, there exists a space for release and tranquillity.

"Tangkiling" paints a sonic landscape of anticipation and arrival, mirroring the moments leading up to a monumental event. Just as the title suggests, this piece captures the essence of gathering energy and momentum, akin to the rhythmic surges of life itself.

"Colostrum" unveils the nurturing embrace of life's sustenance, drawing parallels between the nurturing nourishment of music and the first drops of life-giving sustenance.

We find room for contemplation and reflection within the "Lacuna," or the pauses between notes. Much like the moments between heartbeats, this track invites us to savour the spaces between the sounds, where our thoughts and emotions intertwine.

"Emergence" speaks of transformation and growth, a melodic representation of the ever-evolving nature of both our existence and the musical expressions we craft. It's a reminder that every moment, every note paves the way for the next.

And finally, the title track, "Origin," encapsulates the entirety of this sonic journey. A culmination of experiences and emotions, it's a testament to the power of art to mirror life, bridging the past and future in a harmonious dance.

"Sape Langit" fuses the traditional with the electronic, much like the synergy between sky and earth. It is a homage to my roots and a tribute to the diverse influences shaping my musical identity.

"Mima", a dedication to my unwavering wife and muse, celebrates her presence throughout this creative expedition. Her support has been the cornerstone of this album's creation, and her essence resonates within every composition.

As you embark on this auditory voyage through "Origin," may the melodies carry you through emotions, memories, and landscapes. Let them evoke introspection, inspiration, and an appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me. May the harmonies within "Origin" resonate within your hearts and minds, a testament to the enduring power of sound and expression.

With gratitude and resonance,
